On April 16–17, 2026, the XVII Republican Subject Student Olympiad was held at Shakarim University (Semey) within the educational program 6B01601 – “History” on the topic “Alash and Alashorda: the struggle for statehood” (dedicated to the 160th anniversary of Alikhan Bokeikhan). Students of years 1–4 from the “History” educational program of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov took part in the competition. The team’s academic supervisor was PhD B.T. Kaliyeva, a lecturer at the Department of History and Social Sciences and Humanities.
The Olympiad consisted of five rounds, and the students actively participated in all stages, demonstrating a strong level of preparation. For their active participation and high performance, the participants were awarded certificates of appreciation.
