From June 25 to 29, 2026, the Asian and Oceania SAMBO Championships for Seniors were held in Manila, Republic of the Philippines.
At this prestigious international competition, Anel Kairatkyzy, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts at Ilyas Zhansugurov Zhetysu University, competed in the 72 kg weight category. She confidently defeated all of her opponents, won the gold medal, and was crowned the Asian and Oceania Champion.
