Today, Yermek Buribayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, held a meeting with representatives of the university’s student self-government organizations.
The meeting brought together representatives of the “Sanaly Student” Student Parliament, the “Enactus Zhetysu” team, leaders and members of student clubs, student deans, and student activists.
During the meeting, the Rector spoke about the university’s strategic priorities and its positions in national and international rankings. He also highlighted the value of time and knowledge, emphasizing that knowledge remains one of the most important resources in today’s rapidly changing world.
The discussion also addressed university culture and reputation, the responsibility of young people, as well as the prevention of gambling addiction and other harmful habits among students.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Beisembek Aibek, a student of group ZhQ-441 and Head of the “Sanaly Student” Student Parliament, expressed his gratitude to the Rector for fostering an open dialogue with students and sharing valuable and relevant insights.
In turn, Yermek Buribayev noted that meetings in such an open and informal format will continue to be held in the future.
