

















A Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “The Professional Future of Learners with Special Educational Needs: Challenges of Contemporary Society and Labour Market Requirements” was held at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
The conference brought together scholars and specialists in the fields of special and inclusive education, educators, representatives of education authorities, and employment specialists.
Rector of Zhetysu University, Doctor of Law and Professor Yermek Buribayev, emphasized the importance of the conference, noting that unlocking the professional potential of learners with special educational needs requires aligning educational content with the current demands of the labour market.
B. Torekulova, Acting Director of the Department of Inclusive and Special Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, outlined the current priorities in the development of inclusive and special education. Z. Movkebayeva, Professor-Researcher at Zhetysu University and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, addressed the modernization of educational programmes for the vocational and employment-oriented training of children with special educational needs amid the transformation of the labour market.
Scholars from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University, and Zhetysu University presented the findings of their research on the professional training of learners with special educational needs.
The conference was organized within the framework of programme-targeted funding by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the project BR24993150, “Organization of Psychological and Pedagogical Support for the Pre-Professional Training of Learners with Special Educational Needs.”
