Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov continues its systematic efforts to strengthen international cooperation and expand opportunities for students to study at higher education institutions abroad. As part of this initiative, beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year, students from the University are studying at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University in the Republic of Türkiye under an academic mobility programme for the first time. This new academic mobility destination has been established within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation signed between two universities.
During the first semester of 2026–2027 academic year, nine students from Zhetysu University are studying at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University under the academic mobility programme. They are Zhumadil Dariga, Yersaiynuly Yerniyaz and Aidynkyzy Shyrailym (Foreign Languages (IP)); Kamen Akzeyel and Sarkytbayeva Asyl (Mathematics-Informatics); Khabibullayev Nurdaulet, Kilybek Amina and Akasheva Ayaulym (Chemistry (IP)); Turarbek Bagzhanar (Geography (IP).
During their stay, the students from Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov were personally received by PhD, professor Veysel Eren, Rector of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University. The Rector wished the students from Kazakhstan great success in their studies and expressed his support for their active participation in the University’s academic and social life.
The students, in turn, familiarised themselves with the teaching and learning process and the facilities at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, noting the opportunity afforded to them to pursue their studies in a new academic environment. Academic mobility enables students to immerse themselves in the educational environment of a foreign university, deepen their knowledge in their chosen field and further develop their professional competencies. Moreover, exposure to another country’s education system, teaching approaches and academic culture helps students develop greater independence, adaptability to new environments and intercultural communication skills.
