On October 7–8, 2026, the Republic of Kazakhstan Cross-Country Athletics Championship for all age categories was held in Taldykorgan.
At this national competition, students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts of I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University demonstrated strong performances and secured several prize-winning places.
Students and faculty members of the Physical Education and Sports degree program also participated in the event, providing support and encouragement to the athletes.
The main objective of involving students in the competition was to familiarize them with the organization and management of sporting events, gain practical insight into the competition process, and develop organizational skills essential for their future professional careers.
Such practical activities help students connect theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience and contribute to the development of their professional competencies.
