Academic mobility
Academic mobility of students (hereinafter referred to as AM) is studying at a foreign partner university for one semester or academic year, the result of which is a document confirming the results of training (transcript).
The duration, number of participants, conditions of exchange, internship and accommodation of students participating in the AM are set by Zhetysu University and a foreign partner university in each case of exchange, fixed in the Contract or annex to the Contract.
Types of academic mobility:
- AM program at the expense of the republican budget (USA, Poland, Spain, South Korea, Malaysia, Turkey);
- AM program funded by extra-budgetary funds of the ZHU named after I. Zhansugurov (Poland, Turkey);
- Erasmus+ AM Program (European countries);
- MEVLANA Academic Exchange Program (in such areas as environmental engineering, sociology, foreign languages, law);
- Academic mobility program within the framework of bilateral agreements and agreements with partner universities (https://zhetysu.edu.kz/foreign-partners);
- International scholarship programs.
Submission of documents for participation in the competitive selection:
For each exchange program, a deadline for submitting documents is set, after which applications are not accepted and are not considered.
To participate in the AM program, students have to:
- Have high academic performance;
- Take an active part in the scientific and social life;
- Speak fluent in foreign language (English or the language of the host university), at a level sufficient for academic mobility and for everyday life.

I liked the city. Since the city is historical, there are many churches and old buildings, it seems that you have fallen back into the past, but this does not mean that there are no new buildings and sculptures. Here I spent a busy student life, participated in many events, was part of the event, as well as at my university I taught choreography, staged performances, and much more. The hostel is equipped with everything you need, along with rooms for students, there are rooms for guests and recreation.
