Every year, the faculty students take prizes at the Republican subject Olympiads and international competitions.

At the end of 2024, students and undergraduates of the faculty have shown excellent research and creative performance, which is proved by prizes in competitions, Olympiads and conferences of various levels.

The lecturers of the technical faculty conduct successful research work, actively participating in inventive activity.

An important principle of the faculty's life is to combine education with science. The technical faculty conducts an active research activity of teachers and students. The faculty is characterized by a systemic combination of academic and scientific work, fundamental training in the chosen branch of science with specialization. Teachers and students are constantly in the field of scientific research. The research work of teachers is carried out in various directions. This is facilitated by various scientific events: conferences, seminars, round tables, scientific and methodological schools. Teachers share their scientific ideas and achievements with students. Student subject Olympiads are held as well. Based on the results of these Olympiads, a team is formed to participate in the Republican Olympiads. Team representatives win the Republican Student Olympiads.

Seitova G.A. teacher-lecturer of the Department of Ecology and Agricultural Sciences took part in the Small Grants Program of the Global Environmental Facility (GEF SGP) in Kazakhstan, working under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and joined the group of researchers (Doctor of Biology, Associate Professor Khusainov A.T., Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor  Khusainova R.K., Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Sarsenova A.A., candidate of agricultural sciences Kabzhanova G.R.) at NPO Eco-Kokshe as coordinator of the project KAZ/SGP/OP7/Y1/STAR/LD/24/22 – Introduction of an integrated methodology for optimizing mineral nutrition and grain protection -row crop rotation using ground-based and remote sensing methods of the Earth in agricultural formations of the Abay region.”

The grant amount is $50,000.

The project implementation period is from October 14, 2024 to December 31, 2025.

Damira Amirovna Absatarova, PhD, Lecturer at the Department of Ecology and Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences, has been recognized among the top 50 most cited scientists in Kazakhstan in the field of agriculture and veterinary sciences for the period 2020–2024. She ranked 28th in a rating compiled by the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
