Unified portal of the Zhetisu region on social tourism -SocTour7su.kz

Project title: “Unified portal of the Zhetisu region on social tourism -SocTour7su.kz ” (the duration of the project is 12 months, 01.01.-31.12.2023)

     Social tourism is a new form of service, a goal that society should strive for in the interests of less well—off citizens when they use their rights to rest.” The main principle of the portal is to ensure the accessibility of tourist recreation for everyone through the information portal.

As you know, tourism creates an environment of full-fledged communication in which a person with problems interacts with different people, establishes social contacts and has the opportunity to perform various social roles. This is especially true for older people and people with disabilities. Tourism is also a factor that counteracts hypokinesia, which has a destructive effect on health and psyche. Motor limitations significantly reduce life opportunities, cause depression, despondency, stress, loss of self-confidence. Through tourism, therapy and prevention of psychosomatic diseases, maintenance of physical fitness and health are carried out. Such trips not only diversify life, but also allow you to see nature, architecture, traditions and customs of not only your region, country, but others at any time without leaving home.

Tourism, as one of the priority directions of the development of the industry of Kazakhstan, should be maximally accessible to all segments of the population of our country.  More than 2.2 million pensioners live in the republic, and the total number of persons with disabilities as of January 1, 2022 amounted to about 700 thousand people, including 98.3 thousand children under the age of 18. The task of bringing tourist services to socially vulnerable segments of the population is the basis of social tourism, to see new facets of life and to find new goals. Citizens do not fully possess information about social programs in the field of tourism that have already been launched.

Novelty. A single social tourism platform allows you to solve a number of issues related to the organization of tourism, the quality of service and the availability of tourist vouchers. There is no portal of this format yet and this project is the only one.

The basic principle of the portal:

– provision of travel services in a hybrid mode (online + offline), including taking into account the individuality of participants;

– getting information about social tourist routes through the portal;

– registration of a tourist voucher through a user-friendly interface;

– individual participation in the preparation and conduct of a tour of the native land;

– communication with participants of tourist programs and event events online before and after the event.

Commercialization. The portal will sell tours and tourist companies will be able to sell their tours on a paid basis. It is planned to work with such tourist enterprises as “Come with us”, “Leader”, “Jetysu camping”.

The platform has the following directions:

  • “Virtual tours” – 3D VR360 virtual tours of the area, audio guides;
  • “Active tourism” – information about hiking and water trips, excursions, field trips for the socially vulnerable population, cooperation with travel agencies;
  • “Local history” – the study of the history and sights of the native land.

Project goal: The aim of the project is to create an effective information platform, increase the availability of tourist services, create high-quality conditions for social groups of the population: people with disabilities, pensioners and the elderly, labor veterans, low-income and large families, children, youth, as well as any citizens.

 Expected results:

  1. The world experience in the introduction and development of social tourism will be analyzed, a target group will be identified and an analysis will be carried out in the field of tourism;
  2. Documentation of all necessary copyrights (registration of copyrights, as well as publication of the work in domestic and foreign scientific journals).
  3. A social tourism portal will be launched where the socially vulnerable population can get the necessary information on tourism.
