On March 20, 2023, International Cooperation and Strategic Development Center organized a seminar on the internationalization of higher education with deputy deans for science, academic coordinators and heads of educational programs of higher schools of the Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.
Member of the Board Vice-Rector for scientific work A. Bakhtaulova acquainted the seminar participants with the experience of implementing double degree programs and joint educational programs of other universities of Kazakhstan, and also presented an analysis prepared by the National Center for the Development of Higher Education of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic: “Internationalization of higher education” in the context of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Deputy Dean of the Higher School of Law and Economics V. Burnasheva provided the participants with the information about the opportunities provided by such organizations as the American Council, the British Council, the national office of the Erasmus+ program in the Republic of Kazakhstan for international credit mobility programs, small grants programs, scholarship programs for studying in the USA, etc.
As a result of the meeting, the tasks related to the activation of the internationalization of higher education in higher schools were reviewed, the possibilities of increasing mobility indicators, the implementation of joint educational programs, additional educational programs and other issues of the internationalization of higher education were considered.
