Chairman of Senate, of the Parliament of Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev held a meeting with students of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov as part of the Message of President K. Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Senate explained the priorities announced by the Head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his Message, focused on topical issues of the referendum and prospects for the development of the energy industry.
“Today, the condition of coal-fired power plants, which compensate for the population’s consumption needs, is not critical, most of them are worn out. There is already a shortage of energy in the country, and the need for reliable and clean energy sources is growing. In fact, the potential of nuclear energy is huge. Now it is actively used all over the world,” the Speaker of the House said. The future hostess is young people. Stressing the importance of building a nuclear power plant for a better life, the Chairman of the Senate called on young people to take an active part in the referendum.
