A team competition titled “Day of Fun Contests” was held among the faculty members and staff of the of Zhetysu university named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.
The competition consisted of 7 events: shuttle run, pull-ups, sit-ups, relay race, relay race with a basketball, obstacle course, and tug of war.
The aim and objectives of the competition were to promote a healthy lifestyle among the staff, enhance their athletic skills, and strengthen sports and friendly relationships between faculties and departments. Teams from the Faculties of Law and Economics, Physics and Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Engineering, Pedagogy and Psychology, Humanities, as well as Zhansugirov College, participated in the event.
According to the results of the competition, the Physics and Mathematics Faculty took first place in the overall team standings, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Faculty took second place, and the Faculty of Law and Economics took third place. The winners were awarded the Rector’s Cup and certificates from the Chairman of the Board – the Rector. Additionally, they received monetary prizes from the university’s trade union.
