On April 5, Profi University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, hosted a national mini-conference for English language teachers, organized by the British Council and KazAELT. Among the participants were Kairbek Araigul and Tursyn Gulbar, teaching assistants from the Department of Foreign Language and Translation Studies at our university.

The conference brought together experienced professionals from various countries who shared their insights and long-term expertise on a wide range of topics. Renowned foreign language specialists such as Aliya Zhakupova, Boston Hayat, Maria Kovas, and Zhamila Gulaimova delivered presentations on pressing issues in the field, including “Re-inventing Teaching,” “The Teachers We Need Today: Meeting the Demands of the Market and Society,” and “Plan Smart, Teach More.” A short panel discussion also addressed common challenges faced by educators.

Each attendee left the conference enriched with innovative ideas, fresh approaches, and valuable resources to enhance their teaching practice.

On the second day, participants had the opportunity to enjoy the culinary delights and cultural landmarks of Tashkent through a specially organized city tour, making the event both intellectually and culturally rewarding.
