The Goose Feather master class was organized by the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of Humanities of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov. The event was attended by Rishad Turganbai, a prominent figure in the information sphere of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy director of the regional newspaper Zhetysu, and Enlik Bauyrzhankyzy, a member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Both writers reflected on the current problems of modern journalism and gave recommendations on the professional development of future journalists.
The meeting discussed the importance of choosing a profession and ways to improve their competence in journalism. Advice was given on new trends in the media and effective methods of disseminating modern information, as well as special attention was paid to the creative potential of students and ways to develop them.
During the secret interview, the book “Arpalys” was presented, a collection of works by students of the ZHK411 group. The first work in the history of the department was initiated by Ilesken Albatyrulу, a teacher and associate professor at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov. In his speech, the expert noted the painstaking work of the creative team in writing this book and noted that such events play a very important role in improving the professional skills of students.
At the end of the event, the audience was presented with a concert program by students of the groups ZHK212 and KBK111. The future journalists once again proved their extraordinary talent by going beyond literary skills: they sang, played the guitar and danced. Educational activities that promote creative development and enrich the experience will continue in the future.
