

























As part of Science Week, the Research Institute of Biotechnology and Ecology at Zhetysu University organized a theoretical and practical workshop titled “Scientific Foundations of Modern Crop Production.”
The event brought together experts from the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Crop Production, the Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, as well as representatives from other scientific and higher education institutions.
The workshop featured prominent scientists who have made significant contributions to the development of the country’s agricultural sector, including Bakhyt Aynebekova, Akerke Amalova, Aidana Sabitova, Kanat Yermekbayev, Aigerim Bakirova, and Aibek Abduakasov. They shared the latest advancements in the field of plant breeding.
Participants also had the opportunity to explore the “Speed Breeding” platform, developed at Zhetysu University — a unique facility in Central Asia designed to accelerate breeding processes.
