As part of the historical and regional studies project “Menin Elim” (“My Country”), students from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University visited Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
The delegation of young people from the capital was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Zhetysu University, Yermek Buribayev.
“Zhetysu is a region rich in history and geography. Within the framework of this project, you will have the opportunity to explore the landmarks of our city, visit its historical and cultural sites, and, I am confident, return with wonderful impressions and a great mood. Welcome to Zhetysu University — one of the leading educational institutions in the region, with over half a century of history,” noted Rector Buribayev.
Nurzhan Koichubekov, Chair of the Kazakhstan Students’ Alliance branch at Zhetysu region, Ombudsman of the Youth Policy Department, and Student Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, emphasized that the project fosters cultural development and civic engagement among students, while also serving as a platform for exchange and cooperation between the youth of both universities.
The guests toured the university campus and familiarized themselves with its material and technical facilities.
They also took part in the university’s Nauryz celebration and enjoyed a concert program prepared by the students and staff.
