Zhetysu University Hosts Graduation Ceremony in a Unique Format





For two consecutive days, the spacious hall of the Taldykorgan Drama Theater named after Biken Rimova was filled to capacity. The beaming faces of graduates, their parents, and loved ones created an atmosphere of joy and celebration — the event was held at the highest level.
This year, Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov proudly sent 1,044 graduates off into the next chapter of their lives. Among them, 113 received diplomas with honors, and 360 were awarded the academic degree of Master.
The ceremonial event was attended by Deputy Akim of the Zhetisu Region Marlen Kolbayev, Head of the Department of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs for the Zhetisu Region Manap Kobylan, Chairwoman of the Zhetisu Regional Maslikhat Gulnar Toilybayeva, Deputy Akim of Taldykorgan City Zhenis Andabekov, Ethics Commissioner of the Zhetisu Region Gabit Tursynbay, Head of the Regional Emergency Department Nurlan Bekbosynov, Honored Journalist of Kazakhstan Amre Aryn, Head of the Department of Public Development Bauyrzhan Abibekov, as well as district akims and heads of regional and city education departments — all of whom extended their warmest wishes and encouragement to the graduates.
Chairman of the Regional Council of Veterans, Yermek Kelemsseit, took to the stage to offer heartfelt blessings and guidance to the young specialists as they embark on their professional journeys.
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, Yermek Buribayev, congratulated the graduates, their families, and loved ones on this milestone occasion and delivered a heartfelt address:
“An educated professional is the foundation of a nation’s future and a driving force for societal progress. That’s why today’s youth carry great expectations and trust. Whatever field you choose to work in, never lose sight of core values such as professionalism, responsibility, and integrity. May your journey ahead be bright and fulfilling! Dear parents and faculty, today’s celebration is also a reflection of your dedicated efforts. I extend my deepest gratitude to you and wish you good health and continued success,” — said Yermek Buribayev.
On this memorable day, graduates who actively contributed to the university’s public life were also recognized. They were awarded letters of appreciation and medals for “Active Civic Engagement.”
