From March 1 to April 1, 2026, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, lecturer at the Department of History and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugirov, Saira Rakhipova, successfully completed an international research internship at the University of Zurich.
The internship was organized within the framework of the international project “Non-Western Migration Regimes in a Global Perspective” at the Department of Social Anthropology and Cultural Studies (ISEK) of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
During the internship,Saira Rakhipova participated in research activities and academic seminars, enhancing her professional skills in anthropological and migration studies. The experience allowed her to deepen her understanding of contemporary methodological approaches, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and become acquainted with advanced research practices.
The internship also contributed to the development of international academic cooperation: new professional contacts with foreign researchers were established, joint project opportunities were discussed, and potential directions for future collaboration between Zhetysu University scholars and the University of Zurich were explored.
