
On April 11-12, 2026, a large-scale event dedicated to the celebration of Nauryz was organized and widely held in the city of Niğde, Republic of Turkey. The celebration was aimed at promoting the shared spiritual values of the Turkic peoples, as well as advancing Kazakh national culture and traditions at the international level. Students of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, who are studying under the academic mobility program at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University, actively contributed to the organization of the event.
On April 11, the festive program commenced with a parade organized by the Niğde city administration and continued with a concert program. During the concert, the university students showcased Kazakh national art by performing traditional songs and dances, demonstrating a high level of artistic excellence and creating a distinctive cultural atmosphere for the audience. The event also featured a fashion show presenting samples of traditional Kazakh clothing and jewelry. At the conclusion of the concert, the General Consul in Antalya and the Mayor of Niğde highly appreciated the performances and expressed their gratitude to the participants.
On April 12, the main festivities continued in the village of Altai, where representatives of the Kazakh diaspora reside in Turkey. The Nauryz celebration was distinguished by a broad presentation of national traditions. The program included horse racing, traditional games, and cultural performances. In addition, Kazakh folk songs were performed, contributing to the promotion of national spirit and cultural identity.
The event, organized at a high level, made a significant contribution to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Turkey, as well as to preserving and developing the national identity of the Kazakh diaspora abroad.
