On 28 October 2026, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted a scientific seminar organized by the Office of Research Projects and Technology Commercialization. The seminar focused on the Jas Galym – 2027 competition for grant funding of projects aimed at commercializing the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities undertaken by young researchers.
The seminar presented the amendments introduced to the competition rules this year. In particular, participants received clarification on the competition’s priority research areas, changes in funding amounts, and new requirements for submitting applications in accordance with the scientific and technical assignments.
The seminar was attended by young researchers, academic staff, university employees, and students interested in developing projects.
During the event, A. Altai, Head of the Office of Research Projects and Technology Commercialization, provided information on the participation procedure and the main requirements of the Jas Galym – 2027 competition. He also introduced the participants to the content of the scientific and technical assignments, the procedures for preparing and submitting applications, approaches to substantiating the commercialization potential of projects, funding planning requirements, and project evaluation criteria.
During the discussion, participants raised questions of interest and received relevant clarification.
