BUSINESS TRIP WITHIN THE RESEARCH PROJECT

 

As part of the research project AR26102759, “Study of the impact of physicochemical and biological pollution of glaciers on water quality and individual indicators of flora and fauna of the Karatal River ecosystem,” funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berikzhan Oxikbayev, Research Project Leader and Acting Head of the Department of Scientometrics and Scientific Personnel Training, was on a business trip to Astana from November 10 to 13, 2025.

During the visit, he participated in the Kazakhstan International Scientific Conference entitled “Ethics, Integrity and Digital Transformation: Shaping Research Directions in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” organized by Elsevier. The conference focused on research ethics, academic integrity, and the application of artificial intelligence tools in scientific research.

A working meeting was also held with Indira Samatova, Associate Professor at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Candidate of Biological Sciences. During the meeting, scientific and methodological consultations were received on assessing glacier pollution levels and identifying priority physicochemical and biological indicators for the implementation of the project.

As a result of the business trip, valuable recommendations for the project implementation were obtained, and practical knowledge and methodological experience were gained to enhance the quality of scientific publications, improve research activities, and increase the effectiveness of scientific outcomes.
