On April 15-16, 2026, the Center for Competencies and Complementary Education hosted a seminar titled “Pension Provision in the Republic of Kazakhstan” for university faculty and staff as part of the “Asyl Kazyna University” project.
Retirement is not merely a formal change in social status, but one of the most significant transformational stages in a person’s life.
During the seminar, participants were introduced to the latest reforms and innovations regarding the right to pension provision, the procedures for the appointment and payment of age-based benefits, and the necessary registration processes. Attendees gained a clear understanding of the payment structure—ranging from the solidary to the cumulative components—and came away with a definitive action plan and a grasp of the legal technicalities.
“It is very valuable that the information is current for 2026. Previously, I had read many contradictory things online, but during the seminar, the trainer broke down the latest legislative changes in great detail. Now, there is no confusion regarding retirement age or coefficients,” shared one of the participants.
“After the seminar, I clearly understand the difference between the solidary and cumulative parts. Most importantly, I now have a step-by-step algorithm: which documents to collect and where to apply. I didn’t just learn the theory; I actually calculated the approximate amount of my future payments,” noted another participant.
The seminar was conducted by Bakhtygul Chingayeva, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Lecturer of the Department of Legal Disciplines.
