Today, the military-patriotic game “Zhas Kyran – 2026” was held at the Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov among students of technical and vocational education institutions.
Organized within the framework of the “Law and Order” principle, the event brought together 12 teams from colleges and TVET institutions across the Zhetysu region.
During the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy Bolat Seriyev emphasized that the military-patriotic game is not merely a competition, but a manifestation of resilience, patriotism, unity, and friendship.
Director of the Scientific and Practical Center of the Department of Education of the Zhetysu region, Aibol Kasenov, also highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening the endurance of young people and fostering patriotic values, expressing his gratitude to all participating teams.
The teams competed in a series of disciplines, including partial disassembly and assembly of the AK-74 rifle, pull-ups, body lifts while lying on a rope, grenade throwing, a 4×100 relay race, and tug of war.
According to the results of the competition, the Zhansugurov College team took first place, the Taldykorgan Industrial College team secured second place, and the Bastobe Service and Technology College team placed third. The remaining nine teams were awarded certificates of appreciation.
This event proved to be not only a dynamic and competitive contest, but also a meaningful platform for shaping the future outlook of young people, enhancing their military preparedness, and cultivating a strong sense of patriotism.
