








At Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, an off-site seminar titled “Kazakh-Language Linguistic Content and Digital Resources” was held in collaboration with the A. Baitursynuly Institute of Linguistics.
The seminar brought together staff members of the Institute of Linguistics, the “Til” Educational and Methodological Center of the Zhetysu Region, the Department for Language Development, university faculty, as well as nearly 100 teachers from schools in the city of Taldykorgan and the Eskeldi district. As part of the seminar exhibition, the Director General of the A. Baitursynuly Institute of Linguistics, Anar Fazylzhan, presented new Kazakh-language linguistic content and digital resources aimed at enhancing the educational process in the Kazakh language.
During the seminar, the institute’s specialists demonstrated the operating mechanisms of the National Corpus of the Kazakh Language. They also introduced various components of the electronic resource, including: “QAZLLM vs. ChatGPT: Linguistic Similarities and Advantages in Conveying the Kazakh Ethnocultural Code,” “Error Subcorpus as a Digital Tool for Assessing the Literacy of Kazakh-language Writers and the Language Proficiency of Learners,” “The Effectiveness of Electronic Dictionaries in Standardizing Terminology in School Textbooks,” the “LINGVOKÖMEK” application (its structure and content), as well as “Digital Text Circulation: Text Editing Tools and an Electronic Library,” along with other sections.
As part of the seminar, a cooperation agreement was signed between Zhetysu University and the A. Baitursynuly Institute of Linguistics. Speaking on behalf of the university, Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy Bolat Seriev noted that the seminar provided higher education instructors and teachers with valuable opportunities to explore the effective use of modern digital tools, exchange experience, and discuss pressing issues.
Director General of the A. Baitursynuly Institute of Linguistics, Anar Fazylzhan, expressed confidence that the agreement between the parties would strengthen scientific and methodological ties, contribute to the development of Kazakh linguistics, and facilitate the integration of innovative technologies into the educational process.
