On May 4, 2026, the Department of Legal Disciplines of the Faculty of Law and Economics of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov held a round table on “New trends and requirements for training specialists in the field of law.”
The Round Table was chaired by Galiya Kydyrbaeva, director of the Department of academic affairs of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.
During the meeting, issues of modernization of the educational programs “Jurisprudence”, “International Law” and “Law Enforcement” were discussed, taking into account modern requirements for the training of highly qualified specialists in the law enforcement field.
The Round Table was attended by the prosecutor’s Office of the Zhetysu regional prosecutor’s office, the Department of Economic investigation of the agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring in the Zhetysu region, the Department of judicial administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Zhetysu region, the Department of personnel work of the Police Department of the Zhetysu region, the Police Department of Almaty, the Eskeldy District Court of the Zhetysu region, the military prosecutor’s Office of the Taldykorgan Garrison, the Department of coordination of employment and social programs of the Zhetysu region, Representatives of the state Revenue Department of Zhetysu region, the representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Zhetysu region, the Regional Chamber of private bailiffs of Zhetysu region, the notarial Chamber of Zhetysu region, The Bar Association of Zhetysu region, the Chamber of Legal Consultants in Zhetysu region, the public Association of the Red Moon of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Zhetysu region, experienced specialists and university teachers took part.
The participants shared their professional experience, identified relevant issues, and made specific suggestions for returning students to work, strengthening the practical focus of training, and expanding the professional knowledge of graduates.
The suggestions and opinions expressed will undoubtedly serve as a basis for further improvement of the department’s educational programs, as well as strengthening mutual cooperation with employers and social partners.
In a meaningful dialogue platform aimed at developing legal education, the participants provided comprehensive information about the requirements for future lawyers, received graduates’ resumes and answered a questionnaire.
