At Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, a roundtable discussion titled “Public Service in Kazakhstan: Mission and Values” was held as part of efforts to enhance educational programs in public administration and management.
The event was attended by Ilyas Tustikbayev, Deputy Head of the Internal Policy Department of the Zhetysu Region and a member of the regional кадров reserve; Galym Teleuov, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics; Samgat Tarak, Chief Inspector of the Human Resources Service of the Akim’s Office of the Zhetysu Region; Akbota Kassymova, Chief Inspector of the city akimat; as well as faculty members and students.
During the meeting, participants discussed the mission of public service, its role and significance in society, and key professional and ethical values. Particular emphasis was placed on the principles of transparency, integrity, accountability, and public service orientation.
The new educational program “Analytics and Management in the Public Sector” was also presented.
Industry representatives shared their practical experience and put forward proposals aimed at improving the training of public service personnel and strengthening students’ practical competencies.
