In February 2026, the Department of Journalism organized a roundtable discussion on “The Importance of Terminology in Sports Journalism.”
During the event, students explored key terms used in sports journalism, discussed their linguistic features and Kazakh equivalents, and emphasized the importance of accurate use of professional terminology in delivering clear and high-quality information.
The roundtable served as a platform for active discussion and contributed to the development of students’ professional competencies and terminological literacy.
