Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted a seminar on research methodology and data analysis.
As part of the seminar, T. Kilybayev, PhD, Director of the University’s Center for International Cooperation, delivered a presentation entitled “Qualitative Sociological Research: From Theory to Practice.” The presentation explored key approaches and methods of qualitative research, tools for data collection and analysis, as well as ways of leveraging artificial intelligence in the research process.
Doctoral student Zh. Nurmukhamedzhanqyzy presented a report entitled “Introduction to IBM SPSS Statistics: Fundamentals of Data Management and Statistical Analysis.” The presentation covered data preparation and validation, selecting appropriate statistical methods, conducting correlation analysis, comparing groups, and interpreting research findings.
The seminar provided participants with an opportunity to strengthen their practical competencies in research design and implementation, data analysis, and the effective use of modern digital tools in academic research.
