The International Conference on Education in Technology and Innovation (ICETI 2026) was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, on September 17–18, 2026. The event was organized by the International Society for Research in Education and Science (ISRES).
The conference was attended by Raigul Zheldibayeva, a researcher at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov and the leader of research project AP25794537, “Artificial Intelligence as an Assistant in Academic English Language Acquisition among Students of Non-Language Majors: A Randomized Study.”
The project is being implemented under the 2025–2027 grant funding programme for young researchers, “Zhas Galym,” supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In accordance with the project work plan, during her research trip, Raigul Zheldibayeva presented the findings of the study entitled “Modes of Engagement with AI-Generated Feedback: A Case Study of Three Pre-Service EFL Teachers” in the form of an oral presentation and a research poster.
The study examined how pre-service English language teachers perceive, analyse, and use AI-generated feedback. The topic is directly related to the project’s main objective: to determine the effectiveness of integrating new-generation generative AI resources into professional higher education programmes to support the acquisition of academic English.
Following the conference, the presentation abstract will be included in the Abstract Book, while the full version of the study will be published in the conference Proceedings.
Participation in the ICETI 2026 international conference provided an opportunity to present the project findings to the international academic community, exchange experience with researchers from other countries, and strengthen the scientific and methodological foundations of the study.
