On 910 June 2026, I participated in the international scientific conference AMC Multidisciplinary Conference 2026 – «Building Blocks for Disarmament», held at Uppsala University, Sweden.

The conference was devoted to topical issues of nuclear disarmament, arms control, nuclear non-proliferation, international security, and the impact of emerging technologies on the contemporary security architecture.

During the conference, a wide range of substantive presentations were delivered, and questions of particular relevance to my research projects and current academic focus were raised.

Special attention was drawn to presentations related to nuclear disarmament verification, the effectiveness of international treaties, control and sanctions mechanisms, as well as the challenges of maintaining the global nuclear order under conditions of contemporary geopolitical uncertainty.

An important outcome of my participation was the establishment of valuable professional contacts with AMC Director Lisa Hultman, as well as with leading experts, researchers, and specialists in the fields of nuclear disarmament and international security, whose works I have cited in my scientific articles and doctoral dissertation.

Participation in this conference is of particular significance for the implementation of the research project IRN AP25795633 «Legal Effectiveness of International Treaties in the Field of Nuclear Disarmament».

The scientific ideas, expert opinions, and new professional contacts gained during the conference will contribute to the further development of my research work, the strengthening of international academic cooperation, and the enhancement of the practical significance of the implemented research projects.

Scientific Visit to SIPRI

On 8 June 2026, a postdoctoral fellow of Zhetysu University named after I.Zhansugurov visited SIPRI as part of the implementation of the key objectives of a research project.

This visit was carried out within the framework of the research project IRN AP25795633 «Legal effectiveness of international treaties in the field of nuclear disarmament».

The visit to SIPRI was necessitated by the need to collect important analytical data for further research, as well as to establish valuable professional contacts with leading experts in the fields of international security, arms control, and nuclear disarmament.

A pleasant and significant outcome of this research trip was a gift from SIPRI: a one-year subscription to the publications SIPRI Yearbook (all volumes) and Nuclear Weapons Ban Monitor 2026.

These publications contain the most up-to-date scientific and analytical materials, statistical data, and expert studies directly related to the thematic focus of the implemented research project. I am confident that the materials obtained and the professional contacts established will contribute to the further development of the research work, the strengthening of international academic cooperation, and the enhancement of the practical significance of the ongoing studies.

At present, expanding academic networks, studying international experience, and collecting up-to-date data in the field of nuclear disarmament constitute important areas of my current research activity.
