Educational program in the field of management and public administration
The main mission of the OP in the field of economics and service the production of modern personnel focused on meeting the requirements of employers based on personal qualities and professional skills.
Our goal is to create conditions for the realization of the student’s personal potential in the formation of his personal creative activity, the development of his cognitive interests and business skills.
Quantitative and qualitative indicators of stuff:
The teaching staff of the OP is highly qualified and professional. 4 have academic degrees and titles, including: The head of the EP is Gulnara Bulatovna Tuleshova, PhD in Economics.Toktasyn, Z.A.Ilimzhanova, J.J.Karbozova.
8 teachers have an academic degree of Master of Science, teachers-lecturers, masters: Kazieva L.Zh., Korabaeva N.B., Baytarakova B.D., Aitkulova S.N., Kasymova A.M., Gusenov B.Sh., as well as assistant teachers, masters: Yessimbekova M.Zh., Saparova A.K.
The Department of Economics and Service was established in 1996 on the basis of the Department of Political Economy and Philosophy.
Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, the department was renamed the Department of Economics and Service.
Graduates:
Saparov Eldar Kaysaruly - Head of the Department for Youth Policy of the Almaty region;
Kapasov Meirambek Kuanyshevich – Head of the Department for the Development of the tourism services Sector of the Almaty Regional Center for Tourism and Information Services;
Bekenov Daniyar Nurlanovich is the head of the Department of Tourism and Local History Development of the Scientific and Practical Center for Physical Culture, Sports, primary military training and Additional Education of the Department of Education of the Almaty region.
Graduates of the specialty 5B050600 – “Economics” and EP 6B04101 – “Economics”, who have received an academic bachelor’s degree in economics and business, have all the necessary knowledge and practical skills related to solving problems of an economic and organizational nature, the use of modern technologies, information processing, decision-making in a dynamically changing external environment, performing practical tasks within the framework of economic and other managerial functions, have a theoretical understanding of the basics the organization of production, the patterns of development of society, the economic behavior of people in the process of production, distribution, exchange and consumption of material goods and services.
The field of professional activity of the bachelor in the specialty 5B090200 – “Tourism” and EP 6B11101 – “Tourism” is the tourism and hospitality industry, as well as science, education, government regulation and other spheres of human activity directly or indirectly related to tourism.
The field of professional activity of the bachelor in the educational program 6B11102 –”Hotel – restaurant business” is working as specialists and managers of the middle and higher levels at tourism enterprises, hotel and restaurant complexes and other branches of the national economy of various organizational and legal forms, research institutes and universities, public administration and local government.
Teaching staff in the field of Economics and service have high rating indicators for publications in scientific journals, international and republican scientific and practical conferences, for the production of textbooks and methodological recommendations. Research areas of the department:
- Improving the socio-economic development of the region in a modern economy;
- The spiritual and moral economy is the basis of innovative culture and creative thinking.

Social and educational work is carried out both directly in classes with students and in groups, and in their free time. The emphasis is on patriotic, educational, labor, cultural and aesthetic education.
- On February 17, a virtual tour on the theme “Tugan zherim – altyn kazygym” was held among the educational institutions of the city. The virtual tour was attended by students and teachers of Zhetysu University named after I.Zhansugurov, Zhansugurov college, Taldykorgan Higher Polytechnic College.
- On February 18, an essay contest on the topic “Ulttyk bolmysty Aktau – rukhani zhangyrudyn en basty sharty” was held among the educational institutions of the city. Students took part in the competition Zhetysu University named after I.Zhansugurov, Zhansugurov college, Taldykorgan Higher Polytechnic College.
III place in the II International remote competition of scientific papers "Sustainable Tourism Development".
Saparova's Azhar Kaisarkyzy, was awarded the medal "Best Young Teacher".
