DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS AND SERVICE
The main mission of the OP in the field of economics and service the production of modern personnel focused on meeting the requirements of employers based on personal qualities and professional skills.
Our goal is to create conditions for the realization of the student’s personal potential in the formation of his personal creative activity, the development of his cognitive interests and business skills.

The Department of Economics and Service was established in 1996 on the basis of the Department of Political Economy and Philosophy.
Starting from the 2016-2017 academic year, the department was renamed the Department of Economics and Service.

Graduates of the EP 6B04101 – “Economics”, who have received an academic bachelor’s degree in economics and business, have all the necessary knowledge and practical skills related to solving problems of an economic and organizational nature, the use of modern technologies, information processing, decision-making in a dynamically changing external environment, performing practical tasks within the framework of economic and other managerial functions, have a theoretical understanding of the basics the organization of production, the patterns of development of society, the economic behavior of people in the process of production, distribution, exchange and consumption of material goods and services.
The field of professional activity of the bachelor in the EP 6B11101 – “Tourism” is the tourism and hospitality industry, as well as science, education, government regulation and other spheres of human activity directly or indirectly related to tourism.
The field of professional activity of the bachelor in the educational program 6B11102 –”Hotel – restaurant business” is working as specialists and managers of the middle and higher levels at tourism enterprises, hotel and restaurant complexes and other branches of the national economy of various organizational and legal forms, research institutes and universities, public administration and local government.
Teaching staff in the field of Economics and service have high rating indicators for publications in scientific journals, international and republican scientific and practical conferences, for the production of textbooks and methodological recommendations. Research areas of the department:

Social and educational work is carried out both directly in classes with students and in groups, and in their free time. The emphasis is on patriotic, educational, labor, cultural and aesthetic education.
- On September 25, as part of the World Tourism Day, a meeting on the topic “The future of Tourism: the vision of students” was held, organized by the Department of Economics and Service of the Faculty of Law and Economics in order to discuss prospects and innovations in tourism from the point of view of students, identify their ideas and suggestions for improving the tourism industry, tourism development in the region and develop proposals in the field of tourism.
- On September 20, the Department of Ecology of the Zhetisu region held a worldwide campaign “World Clean Up Day”. This event was attended by teachers and students of the Department of Economics and Service. This is the day when society unites to clean up natural and public areas from garbage. At the initiative of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the action was held simultaneously throughout the region.
