ZHETYSU UNIVERSITY RESEARCHER COMPLETED A SCIENTIFIC INTERNSHIP IN SLOVAKIA
From 2 to 12 July 2026, Berikzhan Oxikbayev, Head of the Department of Scientometrics and Research Staff Training at Zhetysu University and Principal Investigator of the research project AP26102759 “Study of the impact of physicochemical and biological pollution of glaciers on water quality and individual indicators of flora and fauna of the Karatal River ecosystem,” completed a scientific internship at the Institute of High Mountain Biology, University of Žilina (Slovak Republic).
During the internship, joint research was conducted on the detection of toxic substances in river water using phytotesting methods, and modern approaches to water quality assessment were studied. In addition, Kazakhstani and Slovak researchers discussed the development of international scientific cooperation and the preparation of joint scientific publications.
