On April 8, 2026, a scientific seminar was held at I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University as part of the Science Decade. PhD, lecturer of the Department of History and Social Sciences and Humanities, Bekzat Tynysbekovna Kalieva delivered a presentation on “The Theory of Historical Memory from the Perspective of Memory Studies Methodology,” introducing the audience to key aspects of this emerging academic field. The seminar addressed the formation of historical memory, as well as its role and significance in society.
During the event, the theoretical foundations and methodological features of Memory Studies were thoroughly examined, followed by an engaging exchange of ideas among participants. Students and young scholars asked questions and shared their perspectives, contributing to a dynamic academic discussion. The seminar was held in an open dialogue format, fostering new ideas and research directions.
This scientific gathering contributed to the development of academic thought within the university and increased young researchers’ interest in the field of history.
