At Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, with the support of the Women’s Wing of the regional branch of the AMANAT Party, a roundtable discussion in the format of Science TALKS was held on the topic: “Women in Science – Dialogue and Development.” The event brought together scholars of the university, as well as the Chairperson of the Zhetysu Regional Maslikhat, G. Toilybayeva, and the Deputy Chairman of the Zhetysu Regional Branch of the “AMANAT” Party, A. Dosmukhambetov.
The session was moderated by Vice-Rector for Research and Internationalization, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Aleftina Bakhtaulova, who emphasized the significance of the roundtable.
“The primary objective of this meeting is to strengthen the role of women in science, promote their achievements, and create opportunities for the exchange of experience. I am confident that today’s event will serve as an important platform for generating new ideas, fostering partnerships, and collaboratively addressing pressing scientific challenges,” she noted.
Gulnar Toilybayeva, Chair of the Women’s Wing under the party’s regional branch, who supported the organization of the event, wished the participants success and highly praised the contribution of women to the development of science.
“Today, women are successfully engaged in various fields of science, making a significant contribution to national development. Such meetings not only strengthen gender equality but also inspire young women to pursue careers in science. Therefore, today’s dialogue is a guarantee of future progress. I wish you all productive work, innovative ideas, and fruitful discussions,” she stated.
During the session, insightful presentations were delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Doctor of Philosophy R. Zheldibayeva; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor A. Ussenova; and Lecturer of the Department of Physics and Mathematics, A. Abdulaeva. At the conclusion of the roundtable, dedicated to the Day of Science Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a number of women were honored for their contributions to the advancement of science.
