A significant meeting was held at I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University with students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology on the topic “Clean Session as the Foundation of Anti-Corruption Culture and Quality Education.” The event was aimed at strengthening the principles of academic integrity and fostering an anti-corruption culture.
The meeting was attended by a member of the University’s Board – Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Youth Policy, Professor, Candidate of Legal Sciences Bolat Seriev; Head of the Zhetysu Region Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs, Chairman of the Ethics Council Kobylan Manap; Deputy Head of the Department, Head of the Ethics Council Secretariat Askar Arystan; Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Yerlan Andasbayev; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Director of the Academic Affairs Department Galiya Kydyrbayeva; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Registrar’s Office Nazym Zhanatbekova.
Purpose of the meeting:
The main objective of the event was to promote the principles of academic integrity among students, prevent corruption, and foster the values of fairness, transparency, and responsibility.
During the meeting, students asked questions of concern and received detailed and meaningful responses from the speakers. The open dialogue format encouraged student engagement and active exchange of opinions.
This meeting became one of the important initiatives aimed at improving students’ legal awareness, strengthening anti-corruption culture, and reinforcing adherence to academic integrity principles. Such events contribute to the development of students’ civic responsibility and serve as a foundation for quality education and the building of a fair society.
