On April 28–29, 2026, at the base of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov, a student research competition was held on the topic: “Social and Humanitarian Sciences in the Context of Global Transformations: Challenges and Strategies for the Development of Society.”

The event was aimed at identifying promising student research dedicated to pressing issues of social development, economics, law, education, and other areas of the social and humanitarian sciences.

Students of the Department of Russian Language and Literature took an active part in the competition and demonstrated a high level of preparation.

Based on the results of the competition:

• 2nd place and a certificate worth 100,000 tenge was awarded to Yesimbek R.S. (scientific supervisor — PhD Abaideldanova M.K.);
• 3rd-year students Belousova V. (scientific supervisor — Master Chesnokova K.A.) and Pashaeva V. (scientific supervisor — Candidate of Philological Sciences Shcherbovskikh I.G.) were recognized with diplomas and certificates from the program sponsors.
