On April 28, 2026, a friendly sports match was held between Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov and Almaty Technological University.
The friendly competition was organized in three sports disciplines: volleyball (men/women), futsal (men), and chess (men/women).
The purpose of the event was to strengthen sporting and friendly relations between higher education institutions, promote a healthy lifestyle, and enhance students’ individual athletic skills.
