From August 1 to 9, 2026, the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship was held in Abu Dhabi. At the competition, Danagul Talgatkyzy, a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Art of Ilyas Zhansugurov Zhetysu University, won a bronze medal in the 70 kg weight category.
