The Asian Junior Weightlifting Championships are currently being held in Tashkent. Alihan Askerbay, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Art at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, took part in the competition in the 95 kg weight category. In the snatch, Alihan lifted 163 kg, securing second place, while in the clean and jerk, he recorded a result of 198 kg, earning third place. With a combined total of 361 kg across both events, the athlete claimed third place overall. We congratulate our student, Alihan Askerbay, on his outstanding performance and medal-winning results at the Asian Championships! We wish him continued success, new achievements, and many more victories as he strives to reach the highest peaks in sport in his upcoming competitions!
