Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted a delegation from the U.S. Consulate General in Almaty.
An official meeting was held with the university’s leadership and Jeff Ridenour, Deputy Consul General for Public Diplomacy, Timur Sulbayev, American Spaces Program Coordinator, and Alessandra Cabrera, a participant in the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program.
The meeting focused on enhancing the quality of English language teaching, creating opportunities for the professional development of educators, and further expanding international educational initiatives.
“The University’s commitment to enhancing the quality of English language instruction, supporting the professional development of educators, and integrating international best practices is highly commendable. Joint efforts within the framework of the English Language Fellow Program create new opportunities for both students and faculty and contribute to further strengthening educational cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States,” said Deputy Consul General Jeff Ridenour.
Yermek Buribayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Zhetysu University, emphasized the importance of large-scale international educational programs in strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States. He also wished Alessandra Cabrera every success in her professional endeavors and a productive and rewarding experience at Zhetysu University.
