On September 21, a curator’s hour on the topic “Prevention of Terrorism and Extremism” was held at the Faculty of Humanities of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov for students of groups TQҚ-211 and 212.
The event was organized by the Head of Department, Bekzat Tynysbekovna Kaliyeva, and the advisor, Nazym Bizoldaqyzy Kasymova.
During the meeting, issues of ensuring security, preventing destructive movements among youth, enhancing students’ legal literacy, and fostering zero tolerance towards any manifestations of extremism were discussed.
During the meeting, key issues regarding youth information security, protection against radical ideology, and the critical evaluation of social media content were discussed. The documentary “The Button That Takes Away Freedom” was screened, followed by an engaging discussion among the students.
This event helped foster a sense of social responsibility among young people and highlighted the vital importance of making conscious, well-informed decisions.
