As part of the implementation of the “Law and Order” principle, Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted a preventive meeting between students and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
The event was organized jointly by the national anti-corruption movement “Zhanaru,” the Prosecutor’s Office of the Zhetisu Region, and the Regional Police Department.
The meeting was attended by Senior Assistant Prosecutor of the Zhetisu Region, Senior Justice Counsellor Zhandos Iskakov, as well as Deputy Prosecutors of Taldykorgan, Justice Counsellors Dauren Khalkov and Aidar Shabdarov. Law enforcement representatives spoke in detail about the importance of complying with the law and measures aimed at preventing offences.
The speakers explained the legal consequences associated with involving young people in so-called dropper activities, the distribution of narcotic substances, and involvement in criminal environments.
An important part of the meeting was an open dialogue between students and individuals who had previously committed various offences and been held criminally liable. They shared their personal experiences and spoke about the negative consequences that unlawful actions can have on a person’s life.
The meeting also addressed ways to strengthen legal awareness, promote compliance with legislation, protect young people from financial fraud, and prevent their involvement in unlawful activities.
