Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Yessenbek Bisenbaiuly Zhumagali, completed a one-year internship at the New York Film Academy (USA) under the “Bolashak” program and obtained a diploma in the “Broadcast Journalism” program. He mastered modern broadcasting technologies.

In September 2023, teacher-lecturer of the EP on social and humanitarian disciplines Ishkalova G.I. defended her dissertation on the topic "Traditional hunting of the Kazakh people: historical and ethnological research (XVIII - early twentieth centuries)" for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the educational program "8D02205 - Archeology and Ethnology".

Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Shara Assetkyzy Kyyakhmetova was awarded the title “Best University Lecturer - 2023”.

In June 2024, B.T. Kaliyeva, a teacher-lecturer at the Department of History and social and humanitarian disciplines, defended her dissertation at the dissertation council of the Abai KazNPU to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the educational program «6D011400 - History» on the topic «Commemorative practices and the role of memory in teaching history in schools at the end of the XX-th - beginning of the XXI-st century (based on materials from the Almaty region)».

On November 14, 2024, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the PhD dissertation defense of Meruert Kebekovna Abaideldanova took place. The dissertation was entitled “A Methodological Model for the Development of Intellectual Activity in the Context of Forming the Professional Identity of a Specialist-Philologist” and was submitted in the specialty “6D011800 – Russian Language and Literature.”

On June 23, 2025, the PhD dissertation defense of Abdrakhim Miras Erkinuly took place. The dissertation was entitled “Kazakh Officials of the Semirechensk Region in the Second Half of the 19th and the Early 20th Centuries: Formation and Structure” and was submitted in the specialty “6D020300 – History.”
By the decision of the Dissertation Council, the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty “6D020300 – History” was awarded to Abdrakhim Miras Erkinuly.

At the Dissertation Council established at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field “8D017 – Teacher Training in Languages and Literature (6D011700 / 8D01701 – Kazakh Language and Literature),” the dissertation of Asel Kerimovna Toktanova, a lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies at Ilyas Zhansugurov Zhetysu University and a PhD doctoral student of the educational program “8D01701 – Kazakh Language and Literature,” entitled “Methodology for Developing Linguistic Reflection of Philology Students,” was successfully defended.

Dinara Bolatovna Yesimbekova, Lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature, became the recipient of a grant of 1,000,000 tenge in the “Zhas Galym – 2026” competition as a project supervisor.

Samal Berikovna Dyussebayeva, Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies,  was awarded a grant of 1,000,000 tenge as a project supervisor in the “Zhas Galym – 2026” competition.
