On March 11, 2026, a scientific and educational seminar entitled “Alikhan Bokeikhanov – the Leader of the Nation” was held to commemorate the 160th anniversary of Alikhan Bokeikhanov.
The purpose of the event was to provide a comprehensive overview of the historical figure of the national leader, to promote his socio-political activities, educational legacy, and his role in the formation of Kazakh statehood.
The seminar was attended by the Head of the Department of History and Social Sciences, B.T. Kaliyeva, as well as faculty members and master’s students of the department.
During the seminar, participants were presented with informative reports on the history of the Alash Orda movement, the leadership of Alikhan Bokeikhanov, and his struggle for national independence. In addition, his scientific works and publicistic heritage were analyzed, highlighting their relevance for modern society.
Within the framework of the event, participants exchanged views and discussed актуal issues related to national history and personality studies.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the importance of continuing to promote the ideas and legacy of Alikhan Bokeikhanov, strengthening patriotic education among youth, and modernizing historical consciousness was emphasized.
