On September 1, 2026, Yerlan Kazbekovich Utegenov, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, held an introductory meeting with first-year students to mark the beginning of the new academic year.
During the meeting, the Dean congratulated the first-year students on the start of the new academic year and on becoming university students, wishing them success in their academic journey ahead. He also encouraged students not only to pursue quality education but also to actively participate in social, cultural, and sports activities and to develop their abilities comprehensively.
In addition, the students were introduced to the heads of the faculty’s departments, deputy deans, and academic group advisors. The meeting provided detailed information on the main areas of educational and extracurricular work, the university’s internal regulations, the principles of academic integrity, as well as students’ rights and responsibilities.
The students were also informed about the importance of organizing their studies effectively, taking a responsible approach to their classes, complying with the university’s internal regulations, and adhering to the principles of academic integrity.
At the end of the meeting, the first-year students were wished a smooth adaptation to their new environment and high achievements in education and science, sports, and creative activities.
