From September 9 to 12, 2026, the international tournament “Pilsen 2026 World Boccia Challenger” was held in Plzeň, Czech Republic.
At the tournament, Kuanysh Askarbekov, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Arts at Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, demonstrated outstanding skill and became the champion.
In the final match, Kuanysh confidently defeated Ukrainian athlete Volodymyr Roiko with a score of 10:0, securing the gold medal.
