Memorandum of Cooperation Signed between Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov and the Department of Economic Investigations for the Zhetysu Region
A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov and the Department of Economic Investigations for the Zhetysu Region of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring.
The meeting was held as part of efforts to strengthen the “Law and Order” principle and was organized jointly with the “Zhanaru” National Anti-Corruption Movement.
During the meeting, Yermek Buribayev, Chairman of the Board and Rector of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov, noted that the University and the Department have maintained a long-standing partnership in the areas of education and practical training.
In turn, Dastan Bukеshev, Head of the Department of Economic Investigations for the Zhetysu Region, emphasized the importance of providing students with practical knowledge and strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions and relevant government agencies.
Rector Yermek Buribayev also introduced Dastan Bukеshev to the facilities and technical infrastructure of the Faculty of Law and Economics.
The meeting concluded with a lecture for students delivered by Meiram Kassymbekov, Head of the Prevention and Analytical Development Division of the Department of Economic Investigations for the Zhetysu Region of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring. The lecture focused on the topic “Money Muling: How Not to Become a Tool of Cybercriminals.”
Such meetings contribute to strengthening students’ legal awareness, developing practical professional competencies, and fostering a responsible approach to financial and digital security.
