An regional scientific and methodological seminar titled “Continuous Professional Development of Computer Science Teachers in the Era of Artificial Intelligence” was held at Zhetysu University, hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Digitalization of Education of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
The event brought together computer science teachers from general education schools, university faculty members, doctoral and master’s students.
The main objective of the seminar was to expand expertise in the effective use of artificial intelligence technologies in education, develop the digital and professional competencies of computer science teachers, and strengthen scientific and methodological cooperation between schools and higher education institutions.
During the seminar, school teachers and university doctoral students presented reports on practical approaches to using artificial intelligence tools in computer science lessons, developing educational assignments, improving the learning process, and ensuring continuous professional development for educators. They also shared their practical experience.
Participants completed activities using platforms such as Kahoot, Mentimeter, and Padlet and shared their perspectives on the application of artificial intelligence tools. Particular attention was also given to identifying further professional development pathways for each teacher.
At the conclusion of the seminar, all participants were presented with certificates.
