On November 5, 2026, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology of Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov hosted the international foresight conference “Science Without Borders: A Platform for Exchanging Experience Between International and Kazakhstani Researchers.”
The main purpose of the event was to create opportunities for international and Kazakhstani researchers to exchange experience, strengthen international scientific cooperation, discuss joint research projects, and identify promising areas for the development of science.
The conference was moderated by Yerlan Andasbayev, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology. Zh. Kanagatov, Candidate of Biological Sciences and Head of the Department of Ecology and Agricultural Sciences, delivered a presentation during the conference.
Invited international researchers participated in the conference. They included Muhammad Kashif Naeem, a lecturer at the National Institute for Genomics and Advanced Biotechnology (NARC), PhD, Islamabad, Pakistan; Ernesto Marcheggiani, Professor at the Polytechnic University of Marche, PhD, Ancona, Italy; and Abdalhadi M.A. Abulebda, a lecturer at the same university and holder of a PhD. Nesibe Ebru Kafkas, Professor at Çukurova University, PhD, Adana, Türkiye, joined the conference online via Zoom. The international researchers delivered presentations, introduced their areas of research, and provided information about the activities of their universities.
The event was also attended by B. Oksikbayev, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Scientometrics and Research Personnel Training; A. Galymova, Master of Computer Science and Expert at the Centre for International Cooperation; and S. Sydykbayeva, Acting Head of the Department of Natural Sciences, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, and Associate Professor.
The conference was also attended by lecturers from the Department of Ecology and Agricultural Sciences, including M.A. Dzhetimov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, and M. Ormanbetov, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, as well as students enrolled in the dual-degree educational programme 6B08102 “Agronomy – Agricultural Sciences and Technologies.”
The participants discussed current areas of scientific research, opportunities for developing international partnerships, the implementation of joint projects, the expansion of academic mobility, and support for young researchers. They shared their experience and identified the main areas for future collaboration.
The international foresight conference served as an important platform for strengthening professional ties among researchers, developing new scientific initiatives, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
